ISO 30401 CERTIFICATION SUPPORT

ISO 30401 certification: keep what your people know inside the company

When an experienced engineer retires or a key manager leaves, years of know-how can walk out of the door with them. Meanwhile three teams solve the same problem three different ways.

ISO 30401 is the standard for managing knowledge on purpose. We help you set up a system that captures it, shares it and puts it to use.

What knowledge management means here

It isn’t an intranet project or a document library. The standard treats knowledge as something the organization has to create, share, apply and keep, and it asks you to show how that supports your objectives.

The focus is on people, process and culture first, and technology second.

Who needs it

What you get out of it

How we take you to certification

  1. Find the critical knowledge. What the organization can’t afford to lose.
  2. Gap analysis. Current practice against ISO 30401.
  3. Strategy and roles. Who owns knowledge in each area.
  4. Capture and sharing methods. Practical routines that fit the way your teams work.
  5. Training and culture. Helping managers encourage sharing.
  6. Internal audit and management review. A rehearsal.
  7. Certification audit. With an accredited certification body.

Current edition

ISO 30401:2018 is the current edition. It’s a newer and less common certification, so we check at the outset which certification bodies are accredited to audit it for your region.
