Facility management is mostly invisible when it goes well and very visible when it doesn’t. Lifts, cooling, cleaning, security, repairs: clients judge you on the last time something broke.
ISO 41001 gives FM providers a framework that links day-to-day service to the client’s business goals. We help you build it and certify it.
The standard applies whether you’re an FM company serving clients, or an in-house facilities team serving your own organization. It asks you to understand what the client or the business needs from its buildings and services, plan for it, deliver it, and prove it.
The current certifiable version is ISO 41001:2018 with its 2024 climate action amendment. A new edition is in development and had reached the draft stage in 2026. Companies certified now will be given a transition period when it’s published.
No. In-house teams can certify as well, with the rest of the organization acting as the customer.
It covers similar ground in an FM setting, but some clients ask for both. They integrate well.
Not necessarily. You do have to control them properly, though.
Usually four to six months.
