ISO 44001 CERTIFICATION SUPPORT

ISO 44001 certification for companies that work through partners

Joint ventures, alliances, long-term supplier deals, consortium bids. Many of them start with good intentions and end with a dispute.

ISO 44001 gives you a structure for building and managing partnerships so they’re more likely to deliver what both sides expected.

A lifecycle approach to partnerships

The standard follows a relationship from the first decision to the last. You work out whether collaboration is even the right model, choose the right partner, set up joint governance, create value together and, when the time comes, plan a clean exit.

It’s less about contracts and more about the way the two organizations actually work together.

How we take you to certification

  1. Review your partnerships. Which ones are worth bringing into scope.
  2. Gap analysis. Current practice against ISO 44001.
  3. Partner selection and joint objectives. Criteria and a way of agreeing aims.
  4. Governance set-up. Roles, meetings, escalation and information sharing.
  5. Training. Relationship managers and project leaders.
  6. Internal audit and management review. A practice run.
  7. Certification audit. With an accredited certification body.

Current edition

ISO 44001:2017 is the current edition. Certification is less widely offered than for the big standards, so we check availability with accredited certification bodies at the start.
