What Is NDT Level I & II Certification?
NDT Level I and Level II are the two entry and working-level qualifications within the personnel certification schemes used across the oil, gas, and manufacturing industries — most commonly structured around SNT-TC-1A or ISO 9712 frameworks and administered through employer-based or central certification programs such as ASNT’s ACCP. A Level I technician performs tests and records results under supervision, following established procedures. A Level II technician can set up and calibrate equipment, interpret and evaluate results independently, and write test procedures — making Level II the qualification most oil and gas employers require for independent inspection work.

- Eddy Current Testing (ET) overview, where applicable to the participant's industry focus
- Defect recognition and acceptance criteria, tying test results back to relevant codes and standards used in fabrication and in-service inspection
- Certification scheme requirements under SNT-TC-1A and ISO 9712, including documentation, recertification, and the differences between employer-based and central certification
- Practical, hands-on sessions for each method, since NDT is a skill that has to be demonstrated, not just described
