Study Method
While undertaking your current job role and following the guidance provided within the online platform; learners will research and prove their competency and understanding by providing evidence with professional discussions and witness testimony against the qualification criteria.

Examination / Assessment
The course is competence based and learners will need to demonstrate that they meet the course criteria by way of submitting corroborated evidence. Learners’ competency will be assessed by our NVQ assessors. The assessment is based on evidence uploaded, statements provided and professional discussions.
There are various types of evidence that learners can submit, including:
- Reflective account of the learner
- Dissertation completed by the learner
- Completed health and safety documentation
- Witness testimonies from senior managers, technical experts, or colleagues
- Health and Safety procedures developed by the learner
- Activities in, and contributions to, professional bodies and organizations
- Safe systems of work/method statements developed by the learner
- Completed risk assessments
- Completed workplace inspection reports
- Completed investigation reports
- Records of training arranged or delivered for others
- Minutes of meetings
- Professional discussion
- Communications to and from regulatory authorities
- Communications to and from health and safety specialists or professionals
- Policies and procedures developed by the learner
- Strategic Plans which have been developed and implemented in the workplace
Workbooks, guidance documents and templates needed to complete this NVQ level 7 course will be provided to learners via the Learning Assistant online platform, where completed works and supporting evidence will be uploaded.
When your assessor is satisfied that your evidence meets the required criteria, they notify our internal verifier who will double check the submission. If the secondary check (internally verified) is approved the portfolio is then sent externally to the awarding body (ProQual) for final approval (externally verified).
Once your work has been through the above assessment process and deemed suitable, you will receive a certificate as proof you have successfully completed the qualification.
